WhatsApp Business API enables businesses to send pre-approved template messages as notifications to users once they go live on WhatsApp Business API. These notifications can be related to account updates, payment updates, shipping updates, and more.

mSg24x7 WhatsApp Business Platform offers businesses a simple way to send notifications and track their performance through campaigns. In addition to automating messages, businesses can also broadcast them.

In this article, we will outline how to send automated messages to users using mSg24x7 WABA in just three simple steps.

Prerequisites:

  1. A verified WhatsApp Business API account
  2. At least one pre-approved template message
  3. Tools to make HTTP/S requests (we will use Postman in this article)

Step 1: Create an API Campaign

If you haven’t already, sign up for mSg24x7. Then, log in to your existing project or create a new one. Next, navigate to Campaigns and launch a new API campaign. Once you set your campaign live, you have successfully created your first API campaign.

Step 2: Generate an API Key

To generate an API key, go to the manage page of your project in mSg24x7. Then, select “Generate API key” and copy the key that is generated. For security reasons, store this key privately and regenerate it if necessary.

Step 3: Send a Notification to the User

Using the name of the campaign and key from the previous steps, you can send a notification to a user. To avoid configuring messages on the business end, the API receives parameter values to be filled in templates before sending them to users. Refer to this guide to learn more about the API fields.
